Aaron Sorkin says Jesse Eisenberg declined to reprise Mark Zuckerberg role in The Social Reckoning

Aaron Sorkin, screenwriter of The Social Network, revealed that he never expected Jesse Eisenberg to turn down the role of Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming sequel, The Social Reckoning. Sorkin spent three days trying to convince Eisenberg, but the actor declined, citing personal reasons. Jeremy Strong will now play Zuckerberg. The film, releasing October 9, dramatizes the 2021 Facebook whistleblower scandal. Eisenberg expressed admiration for Sorkin but said he no longer wants to be associated with the character.
