Portugal coach Jorge Jesus says Cristiano Ronaldo can return to national team if he wishes

Portugal's national football team coach, Jorge Jesus, said on Sunday that Cristiano Ronaldo can return to the squad if he wishes, after the veteran forward walked out last week. The dispute began when Jesus left Ronaldo on the bench for a win over Norway, and Ronaldo left the squad after learning he would not start against Denmark. Jesus said the decision rests with Ronaldo, who plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr. In Ronaldo's absence, Portugal became the first team to qualify for the Nations League quarter-finals. Ronaldo has said this will probably be his final year in football.
