French prosecutors investigate Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over Ligue 1 TV rights conflict of interest

French authorities are investigating Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, for alleged conflict of interest in the award of Ligue 1 television rights. The probe, led by the Financial Anti-Corruption Brigade, began in April 2026 after a complaint by the association Anticor. Al-Khelaifi, who also chairs beIN Media Group and sits on the LFP board, is suspected of favoring beIN in the 2024 rights auction. His lawyer denies any wrongdoing. The investigation is ongoing.
