Sidya Touré, former Prime Minister of Guinea and president of the Union of Republican Forces (UFR), died on September 25, 2026, in Conakry, Guinea. He was 74. Touré served as Prime Minister from 1996 to 1999 and later became a key opposition leader, opposing military rule and supporting democratic transitions.
