Robert De Niro in talks to play Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda in new sports film

Robert De Niro is in talks to portray Tommy Lasorda, the legendary manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, in a new sports film titled 'Tommy & Me'. The project is being developed by Skydance Sports, with Reid Carolin directing from a script by George Gallo, Cambron Clark, and Carolin. Lasorda, who died in 2021, spent over 70 years with the Dodgers as a player, scout, coach, and manager, leading the team to two World Series titles. The film will chronicle his life and career. De Niro, a two-time Oscar winner, will next appear in 'Focker-in-Law'.
