In Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, the ninth GisArte contest, organized by the Institute for Culture of the Municipality of Juárez (IPACULT), took place in the Historic Center corridor. Under the theme “Mexico: Passion for our Folklore,” local artists created chalk drawings on the pavement. The jury awarded first place to Colectivo 880 for “Colores en movimiento” and gave an honorable mention to Colectivo Tres Desiertos for “Al son de la muerte.” The award ceremony was led by municipal officials, including secretary Miguel Mendoza Escamilla and IPACULT head Ogla Liset Olivas.
