Michael Douglas reveals affair with Basic Instinct co-star Jeanne Tripplehorn in new memoir

In his new memoir, One Helluva Ride, Michael Douglas reveals that he had an affair with his Basic Instinct co-star Jeanne Tripplehorn during the 1992 film's production. The affair was kept secret from the cast and crew, and Douglas says he was 'crazy about' Tripplehorn, even considering leaving his wife at the time. He also clarifies that he did not punch director Paul Verhoeven, but that a heated argument led to Verhoeven's nose bleeding. The memoir also recounts an incident where his stubble caused Sharon Stone a rash during an intimate scene.
