US President Donald Trump tells UN that Mexico must reclaim territory from drug cartels

At the 81st UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump called Mexico 'the epicenter of cartel violence' and said it is unacceptable for the US to share a border with a territory controlled by criminal organizations. He urged Mexico to regain control of its territory. Despite the criticism, he praised cooperation with Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum. Trump also discussed Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, and UN budget cuts, and defended US military power in the region.
