Celia Flores seeks home detention due to serious health issues

In the U.S., Celia Flores, wife of Nicolás Maduro, requested home detention due to serious health issues. Her lawyers argue that the federal prison does not provide adequate medical care for her heart condition. Flores has lost over 11 pounds and experienced chest pain and difficulty breathing since her arrest in January 2023. The trial against her and Maduro is scheduled for June 2027.
