Bangladesh's United International University Aerial Robotics Team places fourth at global drone competition in Oklahoma

United International University's Aerial Robotics Team (UART) from Bangladesh secured fourth place at the Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) 2026 competition held from September 14 to 17, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. This was UART's first participation in the international event. Despite challenging weather conditions that caused crashes for 21 teams, UART successfully completed its mission and became the first Bangladeshi team to achieve a podium position in the competition's history. The team also earned full marks in Safety Inspection and Rapid Response categories and was the only team to complete the mission fully autonomously.
