Indian court issues arrest warrant for Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Saifullah
A special NIA court in Jammu, India, issued a non-bailable warrant on September 8, 2026, for the arrest of Saifullah, a Pakistan-based commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Saifullah is accused of orchestrating multiple terrorist attacks in Indian-administered Kashmir, including the April 2025 Pahalgam massacre. The warrant was issued after the NIA presented evidence linking Saifullah to a LeT module that was dismantled earlier in 2026. Saifullah, a Pakistani national, has been operating from Pakistan and providing weapons, funds, and directions to terrorists in Kashmir. The court forwarded the warrant to authorities in Kulgam district for execution.
