Trump proposes renaming New Mexico to New America

Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump proposed renaming New Mexico to "New America." This suggestion followed his executive order to change Lake Ontario's name to "America Lake." Trump shared an image showing the state border with the word "Mexico" replaced by "America." However, he does not have the constitutional authority to rename states, as this must be done at the state level.
