US President Donald Trump says Venezuela could hold elections but it is too early

US President Donald Trump said in a Time Magazine interview that Venezuela could hold elections, but it is too early. He spoke about discussing the issue with interim president Delcy Rodríguez. This follows their meeting in New York on September 22 during the UN General Assembly. Trump also praised cooperation in oil extraction, saying both countries benefit. The remarks come after Nicolás Maduro's capture in January.
