Nigerian lawmaker Musa Wakili Nakwada withdraws from 2027 Bauchi State Assembly race

Musa Wakili Nakwada, the Chief Whip of the Bauchi State House of Assembly in Nigeria, announced on Saturday his voluntary withdrawal from the 2027 general elections. He had been the flag bearer of the Allied People's Movement (APM) for the Bogoro Constituency seat. Nakwada, a second-term lawmaker, said he accepted the decision as the will of God for the peace and development of his constituency. He appealed to his supporters to accept his withdrawal. Ishaya Dangana has been named as the new APM flag bearer for the constituency and has called for unity among party members.
