Canada's Leylah Fernandez beats Australia's Talia Gibson to win Singapore Open tennis title

Canada's Leylah Fernandez won the Singapore Tennis Open on Sunday, defeating Australia's Talia Gibson 7-5, 6-0 in the final. It was Fernandez's sixth WTA title and her first of the season. She dropped only one set during the tournament, beating top seed Mirra Andreeva and Maja Chwalinska. Gibson, seeking her first title, had upset Maria Sakkari earlier. Fernandez now has two WTA 500 titles, having won the D.C. Open in July 2025.
