Sweden to send Patriot missile systems and troops to Poland to guard NATO supply hub for Ukraine

Sweden announced it will send Patriot air-defense systems and about 100 troops to Poland to protect the Rzeszów-Jasionka logistics hub, a key transit point for military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The mission, starting December 1 and lasting seven months, will take over from Dutch forces. The hub handles about 18,000 tonnes of equipment monthly, and over 80% of military donations to Ukraine pass through Polish territory. The deployment is part of NATO's efforts to bolster its eastern flank amid heightened tensions with Russia, including recent airspace violations and hybrid warfare threats.
