Judge delays trial for Libyan man charged in Pan Am Flight 103 bombing
In the U.S., a federal judge has postponed the trial of Abu Agila Mohammad Mas'ud Kheir Al-Marimi, charged in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. The trial was set to begin on August 26, 2026, but was delayed due to new evidence that defense attorneys need to examine. The bombing resulted in the deaths of 270 people, including 190 Americans, when the aircraft exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland.
