Russian Telegram channels exploit Ukrainian women for propaganda

In Ukraine, since the Russian invasion in February 2022, Telegram channels have proliferated, spreading false allegations of sexual violence against Ukrainian women, particularly those in the army. The BBC found over 6,500 ads promoting these claims, which often use real images of women and sensationalize their stories to attract viewers. The Priamoy Efir Novosti channel, linked to many of these publications, has gained nearly 4 million subscribers, highlighting the disturbing trend of exploiting women's images for propaganda.
