Tourette's campaigner John Davidson to watch Scottish Baftas from separate room after racial slur incident

In the United Kingdom, Tourette syndrome campaigner John Davidson will watch the Scottish Baftas ceremony via video link from a separate room after he shouted a racial slur during the Bafta Film Awards in February. The slur, caused by his involuntary tics, was broadcast by the BBC, which later apologised. Davidson's film I Swear, about his life with Tourette's, won three Bafta Film Awards and is nominated for seven Scottish Baftas. Bafta Scotland arranged the separate viewing area after consulting with safeguarding experts and Davidson himself.
