In Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series on Wednesday night, New York Yankees rookie Spencer Jones made history by becoming the first player to score in a postseason inning that he started and ended by striking out. Leading off the sixth inning, Jones struck out but reached first on a wild pitch, then scored during a six-run rally. The inning ended when he struck out again. The Elias Sports Bureau confirmed the feat was unprecedented in postseason history and had not occurred in the regular season since 1969. The Yankees led the series 2-0.
