Ben Affleck reveals AI use in making of his film Animals at Los Angeles premiere

At the premiere of the crime thriller "Animals" in Los Angeles, Ben Affleck, who wrote and stars in the film, disclosed that he used artificial intelligence tools during production. He was joined by Matt Damon, who originally was to star but had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts with "The Odyssey," yet remained as a producer. The film, which also stars Keri Washington, follows a kidnapping plot involving a mayoral candidate's son. Affleck discussed the AI use at Bloomberg Screentime 2026, noting it helped speed up certain processes. The movie releases on Netflix on October 9.
