Jerry Golod, Producer of Tales From the Darkside, Dies at 87 in California

Jerry Golod, a veteran television producer and former CBS and NBC executive, died on Wednesday at his home in Rancho Mirage, California, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 87. Golod co-created the cult horror anthology series "Tales From the Darkside" with George A. Romero and Richard P. Rubinstein, which ran from 1983 to 1989. He also produced "Adderly," "Return to Green Acres," and the 1991 revival of "Land of the Lost." His daughter confirmed his death. Golod's career spanned over four decades in American television.
