Brazil's trade surplus more than doubles to US$ 7.74 billion in September 2026

In September 2026, Brazil's trade balance recorded a surplus of US$ 7.74 billion, more than double the US$ 3.14 billion surplus from the same month in 2025. Exports grew 12.9% to US$ 34.42 billion, driven by petroleum, fuels, soybeans, and copper, while imports fell 2.4% to US$ 26.68 billion. Exports to Europe and North America increased significantly, but declined to Asia. The year-to-date surplus reached US$ 62.4 billion, up 34.8%.
