Abia State Governor Alex Otti says voters, not him, will choose his successor in 2031

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Nigeria, said on Thursday that he will not be a political godfather and that Abia voters will pick his successor after his second term ends in 2031. He spoke at the Labour Party State Secretariat in Umuahia while welcoming Dr. Ngozika Gladys Johnson-Chukwunenye, the 2023 SDP governorship candidate, into the party.
