Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos says company growth is slower than he wants
At the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles on September 30, 2026, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos admitted the streaming giant is not growing as fast as he wants. Netflix reported a 13.4% growth rate between April and June, the lowest in nearly three years, and only a 2% rise in viewing hours in the first half of 2026. Sarandos suggested live programming could boost growth, noting it generates sign-ups and helps retention. He also discussed Netflix's failed bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, saying he had no regrets about the offer.
