Mine collapse in Soma, Turkey, kills five workers, injures two

In Soma, a district in Manisa Province, Turkey, a collapse at a privately operated mine on the afternoon of the incident trapped seven workers. Rescue teams saved two workers, but five others died, including three whose bodies were found after an overnight search. The Manisa Governor's Office confirmed the end of the rescue operation. The Justice Ministry launched an investigation, assigning three prosecutors, and the Social Security Institution appointed a chief inspector. The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
