Czech goalkeeper Luděk Mikloško dies at 64 after cancer fight
Luděk Mikloško, a former goalkeeper for Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic, and West Ham United, has died at the age of 64. His death was announced on Monday by his family and Baník Ostrava, where he had been sporting director despite battling cancer for five years. Mikloško was voted West Ham's player of the year in his first season and helped the club gain promotion. He later played for Queens Park Rangers and coached West Ham's goalkeepers. Tributes came from West Ham and fellow Czech Petr Čech.
