Bangsamoro Federalist Party leads first BARMM parliamentary elections

In the Philippines, the first parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) are being held. As of September 15, 2026, partial results from the PPCRV show the Bangsamoro Federalist Party leading with 659,405 votes, followed by the United Bangsamoro Justice Party with 607,966 votes. The BARMM Grand Coalition is third. The elections will fill 80 seats in the regional parliament, with 40 allocated to parties. The Commission on Elections has counted 97.79% of expected returns.
