James Bond author Charlie Higson questions frontrunner Jack Lowden's suitability for 007 role

Charlie Higson, author of the James Bond books, has cast doubt on the suitability of current frontrunners to replace Daniel Craig as 007. In an interview with The Times, he said bookies' favorite Jack Lowden lacks the physicality for convincing hand-to-hand combat, comparing him to Tom Hiddleston. He also deemed Jacob Elordi too tall and noted Callum Turner's unconventional looks. Recent statements from screenwriter Steven Knight and actor Gary Oldman suggest producers have already chosen the next Bond. Producer Amy Pascal indicated an official announcement is likely by the end of the year.
