Kia Motors ranks second in Britain's January-August auto sales on strong Sportage demand

In Britain, Kia Motors Corp. sold 76,850 vehicles from January to August 2026, a 2.3% increase from the same period last year, ranking second in the market behind Volkswagen. The strong demand for its Sportage SUV drove the sales, with the model accounting for about 40% of Kia's total sales. Kia was the only Asian automaker in Britain's top five sellers, surpassing BMW and Audi. The company has exceeded 100,000 annual sales for four consecutive years and is on track to set a new record in 2026.
