Qatar's Labour Ministry and Building and Wood Workers' International hold second construction sector roundtable

In Doha, Qatar, the Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Building and Wood Workers' International (BWI), held the second roundtable for the construction, building materials, and wood sectors. The meeting, which built on the inaugural roundtable from December 2025, brought together government, employer, and worker representatives to discuss challenges and good practices. Key topics included wage protection, occupational safety and health, and social dialogue. Assistant Under Secretary Hamed Faraj Dalmouk emphasized the importance of joint worker committees and the Wage Protection System. The roundtable concluded with a commitment to continued dialogue and cooperation.
