South Korea's Kim Min-young wins first kurash gold at Asian Games in Japan

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan, South Korea's Kim Min-young won the gold medal in the women's +87-kilogram kurash event. She beat Chinese Taipei's Shin Liu Li-ling 5-0 in the final at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall. This was South Korea's first gold in kurash since the sport joined the Asian Games in 2018.
