Pakistan Cricket Board launches $200,000 PSL award for franchise development work

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched the inaugural HBL PSL Cricket Development Excellence Award, offering $200,000 to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise that contributes most to cricket development. The award will assess franchises on player development, infrastructure, grassroots programs, and welfare. For the first award, work from PSL 3 through PSL 11 will be considered. Franchises will self-assess, then a five-member committee will verify submissions, accounting for 80% of the score, with fan voting making up the rest. The scoring model includes categories like player pathways, infrastructure, grassroots engagement, and welfare.
