US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says new air traffic control system will prevent future disruptions

The Federal Aviation Administration grounded flights at several Northeast airports, leading to about 9,500 delays or cancellations. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the new system will prevent such issues, as it will have no single or dual points of failure. The FAA is modernizing its aging network, with a $12.5 billion allocation from Congress and a planned transition to digital communications by 2027.
