Clearlake Capital takes full ownership of Chelsea Football Club after Boehly, Walter, and Wyss sell their stakes
Clearlake Capital, a US investment firm, has acquired full control of Chelsea Football Club in England after Todd Boehly, Mark Walter, and Hansjorg Wyss sold their stakes. The deal, valued at 1.108 billion euros, ends the ownership dispute that began in 2024. Boehly, who was chairman, will leave his role. Clearlake's priority is modernizing Stamford Bridge. The club says daily operations and strategy will remain unchanged.
