South African coach Eric Tinkler leaves Ghana's Asante Kotoko to join Durban City

Eric Tinkler has left Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko and is set to become head coach of South African club Durban City. His departure was announced on Monday, September 28, 2026, following a 2-0 home defeat to Aduana FC. Durban City had parted ways with coach Khalil Ben Youssef on Saturday. Tinkler, who previously coached Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United, is expected to take charge of Durban City as they compete in the Betway Premiership and CAF Confederation Cup.
