British police arrest two Latvian men for breaching fence at RAF Molesworth in Cambridgeshire

In the early hours of Thursday, October 8, 2026, British police arrested two Latvian men, aged 36 and 32, after they were found inside RAF Molesworth, a Royal Air Force base in Cambridgeshire, England, that hosts US intelligence operations. The men were initially held on suspicion of trespass and criminal damage, then re-arrested under the National Security Act 2023 for entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK. Counter Terrorism Policing is investigating, and police have said there is no evidence linking this to the RAF Fairford incident last week. Both men remain in custody.
