Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel to miss preseason with left hamstring injury

Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel will miss the entire preseason and possibly the regular-season opener after sustaining a left hamstring injury during on-court activity. The team announced the injury on Friday, saying he will be reevaluated during the first week of the regular season. Knueppel, the No. 4 pick in the 2025 NBA draft, had a standout rookie season, averaging 18.5 points and setting a rookie record for three-pointers. Forward Grant Williams will also miss the preseason with a hamstring injury. The Hornets open the regular season on October 21 against Brooklyn.
