UK financial regulator takes property investment firm Hunter Jones to high court over unauthorised activity

The UK's Financial Conduct Authority has launched high court proceedings against property investment firm Hunter Jones, which is run by social media influencer Reece Mennie. The regulator alleges the firm carried out regulated activity without authorisation and is asking the court to require it to return money to investors. The proceedings are at an early stage, and no trial date has been set. A company that previously provided regulatory cover to Hunter Jones was censured by the FCA last month.
