In Ireland, SE Systems, an energy solutions provider established in Cork in 2010, has announced plans to create 150 new jobs over the next two years. This decision is part of a broader growth strategy aimed at increasing the company's annual turnover from €50 million to €100 million by 2030. The job creation initiative is driven by a rising demand for solar energy and energy retrofits among homeowners, communities, and businesses. Currently, SE Systems employs 112 people and aims to support the transition towards energy efficiency through tailored projects.
The announcement was made by EU Commissioner Michael McGrath during the official opening of SE Systems' new headquarters in Dublin Hill, Cork. The expansion is supported by a €3 million investment, which will help develop strategic partnerships across Ireland and expand regional hubs in counties Clare, Donegal, and Louth. The new roles will span various disciplines, including engineering, project management, energy services, software and digital technologies, operations, technical support, and business development. This initiative will create opportunities for both experienced professionals and those entering the workforce.
