Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's trial for 9/11 attacks set for June 2028

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, will stand trial in June 2028. A military judge set the date, which is 18 months later than the prosecution's request for January 2027. Mohammed has been held at Guantanamo Bay since 2006, and the trial will also include three co-defendants.
