Texans trade for Kayshon Boutte after Higgins injury

The Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Kayshon Boutte from the New England Patriots on August 24, 2026. This trade follows the injury of Jayden Higgins, who tore his ACL during practice. The Texans sent safety Jaylen Reed and a 2028 seventh-round draft pick to the Patriots. Boutte, a sixth-round pick in 2023, had a productive season last year, making 33 receptions for 551 yards and six touchdowns.
