Tornado rips through Dover, Delaware, leaving widespread damage and a state of emergency
A tornado touched down in Dover, Delaware, on Thursday evening, causing significant damage and prompting a state of emergency. The storm knocked down trees and power lines, damaged roofs, and left debris and flooding. The worst damage was along North DuPont Highway, where two hotels were heavily damaged. No injuries were reported. The state of emergency was lifted Friday morning as cleanup began.
