Pedro Acosta wins Austrian Grand Prix for first MotoGP victory

In Spielberg, Austria, on September 20, 2026, Pedro Acosta won the Austrian Grand Prix, his first MotoGP victory. The 22-year-old Spaniard, riding for KTM, started third and overtook polesitter Jorge Martin on lap nine, holding the lead to the finish. Marco Bezzecchi finished third. Acosta had crashed out of Saturday's sprint race while leading. Martin, the 2024 champion, retains the championship lead with 306 points, 12 ahead of Marc Marquez, who finished fifth.
