In the United States, Michael Jeffries, the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, has been ruled mentally competent to stand trial for sex trafficking charges. This decision was made by U.S. District Court Judge Nusrat Choudhury after reviewing medical evaluations and phone call testimonies. Jeffries, who is 82 years old, had been hospitalized for dementia and Alzheimer's symptoms. He is currently free on a $10 million bond and is scheduled to go on trial in late October alongside two co-defendants.
