Finland's President Asks Elon Musk to Expand Starlink Coverage to Help Ukraine Strike Russian Missile Launchers

At the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said he pleaded with SpaceX owner Elon Musk to expand Starlink satellite internet coverage over Russia and occupied Ukraine. This would allow Ukraine to locate and strike Russian ballistic missile launchers before they fire. Stubb emphasized that such access would save lives, as Ukraine has an acute shortage of air defenses. He also listed Ukraine's winter needs: air defenses, energy installations, and money. Stubb supported US-led peace negotiations and suggested an unconditional ceasefire or a partial ceasefire on energy and grain targets.
