Russian air strikes hit port infrastructure in Ukraine's Odesa region, governor says
On October 5, 2026, Russian air strikes targeted industrial and port infrastructure in Ukraine's Odesa region, according to Governor Oleh Kiper. The strikes hit Vylkove port, fuel depots in Chornomorsk, and cargo vessels. All fires were extinguished. In a separate attack, a Russian strike on Kharkiv killed one person and injured six others. The Russian defence ministry said the targets were used for military purposes.
