Norwegian survey finds 31% of EV drivers avoid Chinese brands for political reasons

In Norway, a survey by the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association found that 31% of EV drivers would avoid Chinese brands for political reasons, up from 23% last year. Despite this, Chinese-owned brands like BYD and Volvo now make up about 25% of new EV registrations, a significant rise from 2019. Meanwhile, political avoidance of Tesla fell to 24% from 43%. Electric cars account for 97.8% of new car sales in Norway, far ahead of the EU's 21.7%.
