Lions' Kerby Joseph sidelined for first four games of 2026 season

The Detroit Lions will start the 2026 season without safety Kerby Joseph, who is on the reserve/PUP list due to a degenerative knee condition. Joseph's injury will keep him out for at least the first four games, following a limited 2025 season where he played only six games. Additionally, safety Brian Branch will also be on the PUP list recovering from a torn Achilles, leaving the Lions with significant gaps in their secondary.
