Kenya confirms first Ebola case in citizen arriving from Congo, patient dies

Kenya has confirmed its first Ebola case, a Kenyan citizen who arrived from the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday and has since died. Health Minister Aden Duale announced the news on Tuesday, saying 28 contacts have been identified. The DRC is battling its largest-ever Ebola outbreak, caused by the rare Bundibugyo species, with over 8,000 cases and 4,000 deaths. The outbreak also spread to Uganda, which was declared Ebola-free in August. Health authorities are now tracing contacts to prevent further spread.
